Earthquake Damages Hilihe`e Palace
Hulihe'e Palace suffered significant damage in October's earthquake. Repair is estimated to run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. "We are going to do everything possible to preserve this national treasure", explains Executive Directory David Scott, "but we need help." Hulihe's Palace is one of only three royal palaces in the United States. For those wishing to make a donation for the restoration, please contact the Daughters of Hawai'i at (808) 595-6291.
